zuzu art show
Sasha Hodges and I have some photographs hanging on the walls of the ZuZu restaurant in Central Square, Cambridge. In Boston's parlance, we call this an art "show" -- the photos should be there until the end of the month if you'd like to take a look.
On the more technical/artistical, the photos are inspired by some anonymous depictions of Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel and Karl "I'm fucking nuts" Lagerfeld. The modality of the photo (yes I said modality, please don't hurt me) is that of old super slow black and white emulsions or my interpretation of what that would mean visually. Anyway, you are supposed to get that roaring 20s vibe. It is a whimsical take on a couple of fashion icons and I got some of my Helmut Newton out of my system. Photos are digital images printed on the mighty Epson 9600 trough the colorbyte RIP.
